+ How would you describe your photography style?
Our style is very documentary in tone with an emphasis on capturing organic, honest moments. We're most inspired by connection, natural light, vulnerability, and raw emotion. To put it simply, we want your photos to look like you! We're not into awkward poses or asking you to do anything that feels cheesy or inauthentic—scout's honor. We prioritize building relationship and trust with our couples, and collaborate with them to create the emotive, meaningful, timeless, and honest imagery that we value so highly.
+ How many years of experience do you have?
We've been photographing weddings and portraits for 10 years, with well over 150 weddings in our archive. Each of our Associates has at least 5 years of experience, and we bring every ounce of our combined experience and expertise to the table for you!
+ How many final photos will we receive?
We're devoted to excellence, an efficient work flow, and providing you with the best final product possible. You can expect to receive at least 500-700 edited images in your wedding album, and 75-125 edited images in your portrait gallery. We'll never leave out any images that meet our standards...promise!
+ How long will it take to receive our photos?
Couples who marry in the months of May-October can expect a 4-6 week turnaround time. Couples marrying in the "off season months" can expect a 2-3 week turnaround. Our turnaround time for portrait sessions is typically 2-3 weeks.
+ What if we’re a little nervous about having our photos taken?
Rest easy my friend, you're in good hands! Many folks say the same thing. It's our job to ensure that you feel comfortable and at ease with us (which just so happens to be our thing)! Throughout our time shooting together, we'll offer some direction and allow space for you to be fully in the moment. Don't worry about how you look, just focus on the ones you love standing next to you...we'll make sure your photos look true to you (and GOOD)!
+ Do you travel?
We sure do! We're always happy to travel for our couples for either engagement sessions or weddings. We charge a modest travel fee, and may also require 1-2 nights of lodging depending on the schedule of the wedding day.
+ What if there’s bad weather?
We've seen a lot of crazy weather in our many years of experience (we live in MN after all!), but nothing that's ever made it fully impossible for photos to happen. For portrait sessions, we can easily reschedule. For weddings, we typically encourage embracing whatever mother nature hands us, however we're more than happy to talk with you through contingency plans and help come up with alternate options!
+ Can we bring our dog/pet along for photos?
Yes, please! As long as our location allows pets, they're more than welcome!
